.... to me how I can fly from Austin to Sac, Ca. RT, some 3700 miles for $265 then from Austin to Bze some 2200 miles at a cost of almost $800 ? What am I missing ?

Don't worry, dear E....our great leader's budget plan has included additional fees for travelers! Expect airfare to go way up as part of the liberal budget plan..that is not a good thing for those of us on the move!

We never understood the rates ourselves....From SAC to BZE round trip would cost about $341 (8 years ago).....If I tried to fly to BZE form my friends house in Dallas it would cost $548......Who knows how they figure these...... Of course now understand both are much more expensive.....

Its just Horrible, but it has alot to do with what the airport you are flying into charges the airlines to land, taxes etc. Belize has never been smart at all about tourism and how to make more money for its citizens through tourism. The Government just wants as much in their own pockets as they can get. 13% GST..come on?

You can fly to Hawaii RT from west coast for around $400. Like 6,000 miles. Of course a gallon of milk is $8.00 so are a dozen eggs.

Ernie, I am talking about prices in Hawaii..also a 16 oz bag of iceburg salad mix which in the mainland U.S. sells for 99cents is $4.99 in Hawaii.
