I would hate to be held accountable for all the horrible things I did when I was young. I forgave myself and moved on. It's sad our community can't let this old man live in peace.

Elbert, do you regret those things? Did you learn from them and thereby become a better person? Or did you only stop being flamboyant about them but remain the same still? Did you ever do such hateful and disgusting things to your fellow man?

Apparently, you have amongst many other fine things learned compassion. This man at a bare minimum, has not.

Why does this keep coming up?

Because a UK newsrag printed stories and did a new profile in the last few days. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt until I watched the new video interview.

Because he has a stalker. The fact remains that for over 30 years he has lived in harmony on this Island and I haven't heard a single claim that he has done anything legally or morally wrong. There were some financial problems someone claimed but nothing to do with the subject at hand.

He has ideas that most of us do not agree with and I wouldn't want to be his friend but as long as he behaves himself I wouldn't try to cause him harm. As far as I know there are no warrants for his arrest or anything like that. If there was then I would certainly be in favor of his answering for his crimes but that does not seem to be the case. Why in the world he talked to the press is beyond me. Maybe he is losing it in his old age. Maybe it is his way for redemption with himself, who knows.

I would be very happy not to read about "Bill" or "John" again. It does no one here any good.
