Looks as if that high day and night temperature bubble we had over the last few days, might, hopefully, be reducing now, working outside in that has not been funny. But it does look as if southern US is in for some heavy rain, but not mentioned as a storm. There is a little bit more activity in the Caribbean, so hopefully temperatures will start to drop and we should see a little bit more rain in a day or few.

But today looks like yet another hot sunny day, Caribbean clouds just starting to form, probably no rain today.

No Tropical Development Is Expected This Week Across The Atlantic, Caribbean & Gulf Of Mexico

Overall, there are no areas of immediate concern in terms of potential tropical development across the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
A large complex of thunderstorms now located over the northwestern Gulf of Mexico is located at the tail end of a frontal boundary. This thunderstorm complex is expected to head northeastward and bring severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and tornadoes across southern and southeastern Louisiana, southern Mississippi and central and southern Alabama through the afternoon hours of today. No tropical development is expected from this thunderstorm complex.

We might have to once again watch the Bay of Campeche and the western Gulf of Mexico late this week and this weekend for possible tropical development. The reason why is because a tropical wave now located over the western Caribbean will push into the Bay of Campeche and be enhanced by a frontal system pushing by to the north. This could lead to some sort of low pressure system to form over the Bay of Campeche at the tail end of the front by this weekend. At this point, even though it is something that may need to be watched, I think that there is a very low chance of this occurring.

The last item to mention is a tropical wave that is located about halfway between the Lesser Antilles and the coast of Africa. Environmental conditions are unfavorable for development and I am not expecting any sort of tropical development from this tropical wave. One interesting thing that some of the model guidance are showing is the possibility of this tropical wave trying to develop into a tropical system around the first of November near the Bahamas. At this point, it is a very low chance scenario, but it is something to watch for as even though we are starting to wrap up the hurricane season, I do think that we could still see 1 or 2 more named storms over the next 30-40 days.

Present Condition: Mostly sunny.

Mostly sunny this afternoon with only isolated showers occurring over inland areas. Then, some cloudy spells along with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mainly over the south tonight, spreading to most areas tomorrow morning.
