21 are being housed upstairs on one of the C.C.R.C school buildings. The other 2 will be mounted at the Community Health Center after the rainy season have past.

The Caye Caulker Village Council is very grateful for this project as the children of the school will now have drinking water. Each panel makes about 10 liters of drinking water daily and in the event of a hurricane the island will have a constant supply of drinking water. We would like to express gratitude to the following individuals and organizations:

Sara Valero and Gerard Alleng from the Inter-American Development Bank, who is providing the financing for the regional Caribbean Climate Smart Islands Program

William Schew from the consulting firm Environmental Resources Management (ERM), who is the firm contracted by IDB for the implementation of the adaptation component of the Caribbean Climate Smart Islands Program

Lucas Gana from the Belizean firm Caye Solar who led the installation of the hydropanels and will be in charge of maintaining the system for the next 5 years.
