On Ambergris Caye this morning we have another sunny day with a calm sea around our barrier reef. The forecast is showing a good weather week ahead but sadly no rain .

oh my gosh what a gorgeous photo!!!!

A very big change in our weather whether you can see it at present or not. Last night the high level from the Pacific was clashing with the easterly Caribbean winds and causing many ITCZ rain storms all along the pacific mountains of Guatamala and southern Mexico. Some them late last night were moving close to Belize, one small one on our western border. . . This morning that has become low level winds and cloud from the West, moving into southern Belize right now, possibly some rain in the South west, and just possibly central western areas later this morning, but it is drying up.

Looks as if today will be mainly sunny, with significant clouds, but coming in from the West today, could be some rain later.

The whole area taken over by wind from the West. But the typical clod over land has built up. The possible wet cloud has evaporated away with the heat. Possibly something might change this evening.

Present Condition: Sunny
24hr Forecast: Mostly sunny during the daytime with a few cloudy spells over the maya mountains along with isolated showers. Then, tonight will be clear to partly cloudy with the chance of isolated showers over the south.

There is a small ITCZ swellup occurring right now over western Toledo, almost certainly causing some rain.

Since that picture taken, the ITCZ has more swellups just inside Belize but over Toledo and the Mountains, it might just make Cayo later.

Appears to be fizzling out to just a blanket of cloud layers.
