Belize Immigration has posted new fees and people are getting the wrong idea. The 30 day arrival visa that most people travelling from non visa required countries like the US...Canada...and Europe has NOT changed. A tourist family can still come to Belize and not pay any entry fee. (30 days....The current fee is already built into your plane ticket) The change in fees are from countries where visas ARE required to travel to Belize. Most people as a tourist will NOT be affected by these changes. The change in fees however is for people that want to stay over 30 days. It will now be $200/month after the first 30 days upon entry.
The Ministry of Immigration hereby advises the public that on March 23, 2020, Minister Hon. Godwin Hulse signed Statutory Instrument No. 42 of 2020, gazetted on March 28, 2020.
The Statutory Instrument, titled Immigration (Permits and Fees) (Revised) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2020 authorize the adjustment of immigration fees with effect from May 1, 2020, as follows:
The increase is in the Temporary Employment Permit (Work Permit). Extension of visitor's permit for all countries: BZ$200 a month.
