News Five asked the Chief Elections Officer when our viewers might expect to see results on the night of March third. She says do not expect the results to be too early.

Josephine Tamai, Chief Elections Officer

"Most definitely it will take a bit longer because we know for one ballot paper you may have split votes and that is where the counting takes a little bit longer. So, I am not promising that we will have results before midnight this time around, definitely not for all municipalities, for example, like Punta Gorda where it is smaller than others so we expect to get results a bit earlier; for example, Belize City, will take a very long time so we are looking at two o'clock or three the following morning for results for Belize City. So, it will vary on the size."
