"We are not surprised with the report, remember they had already released to us a draft report but we are very pleased that the board of directors of the IMF for the first time in probably decades have given a glowing report for the work that the PUP government has been doing since it's an exception in November of 2020 it shows that the policies that were put in place have been working and the policies are to be able to get the economy working to get people back working to ensure that there can be more opportunities for investments not only for foreigners but also for Belizean, um, the usual recommendations are like in everything it can change quickly, for instance, government spending we constantly have to ensure that we are spending within the budget. We have to ensure that we are able to collect the taxes that are necessary that are needed to run the country, so these are some of the things that we give at all times so we look at them very seriously. We constantly have to remind ourselves so that we make sure that we can control government spending and to spend it where it is needed in social programs in infrastructure in education and in health."
