We will be arriving Feb. 14 and understand that the lobster eating season ends the next day(?). Question: Where is the best and cheapest place to eat em? Will eateries run out that day? Thanks for all the great info.

For me, the best place to eat lobster is at Jambel's. They serve it however you like it. I like it unjerked. smile

I think the cheapest place used to be The Reef on Middle Street. It seemed that most every place that I checked this year was $35 BZ. Not too shabby. I ate lobster twice a week and once for breakfast . . .but that last was a mistake, I shall not repeat.

I'm not going back until late February, so I feel your pain. At least you will get one lobster meal.

Well prepared and a reasonable price on a lobster meal can be found at Papi's diner. I enjoyed Papi's because I love veggies, and it was one of the few places on the island that served veggies other than salad. He also makes a mean pina colada!!! Debbie

In principal no restaurants are allowed to serve lobster after the 15th. They are not even allowed to have it in their freezer. Well you should be able to enjoy a few lobster meals. I hear good things about lilly's lobster breakfast.

My first suggestion would be Papi's also. If you like french fries with your lobster (I do), they're great there. Also, Margueritas made with fresh lime juice instead of mix.
The lobster there is always (in my experience) cooked "perfectly".

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

Los Cocos has great French fries to go with excellent lobster.
Lily's lobster omelet recipe seemed to have change the last time I ate there. Reymond swore up and down it was the same, but I don't eat spicy and this was hotter than before.
:p

Hey, Harriette, when you say "great french fries", what do you mean? For example, I love eating at Papi's but I sure don't favor the french fries there. Nonetheless, I've seen others say that the fries there are great. So how do the fries at Los Cocos compare to Papi's?

???? I was served a baked potato with my lobster at Papi's..... Don't recall if I specifically requested it, but it was great and the veggies were not cooked to death.
