Mobunny: They really enjoyed that day and mentioned how nice the 4 of you were too. I recently told her that you were returning in August and they are green with envy!!! With 4 little kids unfortunately it will probably be a while before they can return. They just loved it here (as we do) and every day we all walked the beach South of Caribe Isle and North (we were living in the house right next to Caribe Isle) and the kids had just so much fun in the water. Anyway, thanks again and I will certainly say hi to them from you!!!

Last time I was on AC, we stayed up north (SunDiver), and I thought the beach there was quite nice - no trash, no needles, no seaweed on the beach at all. I didn't wade into the water from the shore b/c I didn't like the feel of the seagrass underfoot, but a lot of other people waded right in. I swam off the pier, and it was just fine. The water is AMAZING, not murky at all. Beautiful greens and blues as far as the eye can see.

I didn't spend a lot of time in town, so I can't speak of the beaches in town.

I've stayed out of this up till now, and think there is a lot of smoke being blown by both sides. Lotusflames, you stepped in initially with a bit of an arrogant attitude, basically saying "I will go there and determine what is factual and what is not". Your privilege of course, but many people consider that you are not the definitive source, only another opinion. Your opinions are as valid as anyone elses, but present them as opinions, not the absolute facts. On the other side, vicious attacks for very little provocation is disgusting. Also, on another thread, fanning the flames by dragging politics into it is also disgusting. Those of you involved, grow up. This board is not a podium for broadcasting anything other than your "opinions".
Start the attack, I will not respond with anything but :p

LF, nope, I don't do that. It was from a response by someone unnamed in another thread dealing with this situation.

Not enough data, I need more extemporaneous utterances in order to evaluate the data.

Just wanted to bring up the subject of the beach situation in San Pedro one more time.
1. Yes there is some litter, but who litters?
2. All beaches in Belize are public property, I think 64 feet from water's edge, correct me here if I am wrong, therefore you can swim, walk or laze away wherever you want.( within those feet!)
3. Unless you are blind you must have seen the crew that comes out every morning and removes seaweed and other debris from the beach in town. Hands up for the San Pedro townboard in doing such a good job! And for the hotels/resorts/private citizens that help in their effort!
