I was reveiwing other posts about cash, credit and atms. I am just curious if anyone has used the local ATM with a US card recently and if it worked ok? It sppears this is a fairly new service and I want to see if anyone else has done this. We do not want to travel with alot of cash and we are hoping to take some out when we get there.

Redhead...just returned yesterday. The ATM worked great at Belize Bank...open 24/7 and took seconds to get $500BZ at a time....Goody

Does anyone know what the fee/fees is for using the ATM?

Don't think there are any....usually your receipt will note any fees and mine didn't...of course when I get my bank statement I may see otherwise...Goody

Fees are generally set by the card issuing bank, not the dispenser. All depends upon the network(s) used by the 2 involved financial institutionns

And then sometimes, you can get hit at both ends. Bad card company, IMHO, that does that to ya. Cancel the damned thing
