We are interested in Mata Chica. Can anyone enlighted me on this location. If you can thanks so much for your help in advance. Neptunus

Mata Chica is considered an upscale resort. Known locally for its "famous" guests. Very nice. It's location is approx. 6 miles from town. Their boat goes to town periodically, or the Island Ferry on a regular basis ($20), or you can rent a golfcart.
Besides having a very good restaurant, there are a couple of other upscale resorts within walking distance.

You might consider what you want. If you want a peaceful resort location, it will work for you. If you want to be in town in the evenings and try the restaurants, it's a little harder and more expensive to get into town.

Good choice, amazing lounge and rest, Rojo Lounge is a few steps away also.

Stunning location, properties in town can't compare.
