When you stroll through San Pedro, you come to know the Holiday Hotel, its wonderful barbecues, and Celi's Restaurant. The hotel is a gorgeous colonial structure, best seen from the beach, but also has a street entrance. A three story hotel, it commands center stage in San Pedro. The seafront rooms are comfortably cooled with air conditioning and ceiling fans, or let the cooling trade winds add their romance to your stay.

Missing these days are the fishing sailboats that were locally built and commonly seen around PG. One of the boat builders in PG who I remember was Mr. "Basebwai" Martin Flores. I don't remember his formal name since in those days everyone in PG was popularly recognized by a nickname. Other boat builders were Mr Allan Coleman Sr. & Mr John Baldwin better known as Amigo. Amigo was also good at making wooden vats. The late Mr. Fidel Audinett was also a shipwright, I think the last boat that was built in PG was built by a gentleman Mr. Blades for Mr. Orlando Chan.

Don Chielo Mr. Gomez and Mr. Pete Zuniga used to sew nets for fishing. The nets had pieces of lead in it. Leonides Sanchez has great skill in building model boats these days.

Hector Silva: I can see the rest house where i stayed when visiting the Toledo District. I can see Alex Chee popular club, where they served beer by an elevator. I can see mak store, I can see the south of beautiful PG town, from where you can select your fish from the fisherman's hand and you take to Mercedes for a nice fry fish early in the morning. Then PG is famous for many things, especially the water spouts.
