A dozen folks on the steps in front of I.A. Carroll's store in Punta Gorda, 1915
It's the old Barton Foster store on Front Street. I.A. Carroll's store was bought by George Foster and became the Barton Foster store, his son owns it now. On Front Street at the corner from the old hospital area.
I see various ethnic groups: Maya, East Indian and Creole. Maybe Misktio as well. Tall gentleman in the rear.
Dellie Bevans:
Mayas posing with our grandparents John Carroll and Eleuteria Padilla at his store in PG in 1915. Gwen and Ms Kate worked there. I remember we used to go to the store to say hi to him and he would give us candy.
Rosenda McCulloch: He still had the store when I got to PG in the 50s, but as you remember, he was quite an old man. I seem to remember Gwen and Ms Kathleen working there.
