Caye Caulker roots! Chi Chi Monica was born in 1882 and died in 1961. Her son was Peter hyoung, who married Shirley Young. Chi Chi Toni Carrasco was the daughter of Monica Rodriguez Carrasco. Her house was on the property now named Morgan Place. She used to bake and sell Journey cakes and bread. I used to go there and buy from her.
Chi Chi Monica Young did have her house where Morgans Lynn is now located. As I remember her children were Peter Simeon, Edward Petrona and Antonia and Teresita ( she also had uncle Simeon and aunt Petty. 8 children). They owned a vocal somewhere around Sylvesters and Tina's properties now stand. Chi chi Monica was a seasoned sea woman and I remember often poling her Corey to gather coconuts at the vocal or gathering lobsters or fishing. She was definitely strict, a very strong no nonsense productive woman and I admired her greatly.
