Belize City's most iconic landmark, Bliss Lighthouse just before sunset
Captured this stunning aerial drone photo of the lighthouse just before sunset with the sunlight shining just behind the top of the lighthouse and rays of light shining in a semicircular pattern surrounding the top.
I wanted to bring an awareness to the urgency of the situation of saving this iconic landmark in Belize City, built in 1885.
I will be doing more survey around this site but I am seeing major structural damage that would make this landmark susceptible to collapse if we have another hurricane.
The sea walls on both sides have eroded away to the point that the soil on the inside of the seawall are sinking away. I have observed an area of intrusion of soil erosion from the waves immediately under the lighthouse that it has already penetrated the foundation causing the lighthouse to separate from its base.
If we don't do anything we will lose this iconic landmark sooner than we think.
We should start a petition to save this beautiful landmark.

Belize City - Baron Bliss Lighthouse - Sunset Panorama
I decided to capture this lovely sunset aerial drone panorama of Belize City showcasing the Bliss Lighthouse and had to use local Belizean Artist's song "Lord Rhaburn - If yu Bawn Deh" to share with you.
Walking by the Lighthouse Belize City
We walked through the streets of the Fort George marina, the Baron Bliss lighthouse monument and its surroundings.
