Electric photo of a Caribbean Reef Squid!
The Caribbean Reef Squid changes habitat at different stages of life. As new hatchlings, they often reside close to the shore, young tiny squid typically gather in shallow turtle grass and adults venture into the open water.
Compared to their body size, squids actually have the largest eyes of any animal. Their eyes also have built-in contact lenses, which they use to protect their eyes and focus on their prey.
