I can only speak from personal experience; of which none is from a foreign city. But there are costs associated with poisoning dogs. Unless they are leaving them in the streets and yards which would defeat the original claim of health & safety concerns. I'm just saying that if it is costing them money and it is not solving the original problem; which this does not, why do they continue to do it this way? If this is being done in the name of health then there are procedures to picking up in a timely manner and disposing of the bodies. Who does that? What are they being paid? How are they disposing of the bodies? At the city dump? Still a health concern. How much is the poison? Who is distributing it- what are they being paid? City employees are being paid to do some of this work I'm sure. Again, the costs are not free either way, why not seek a more humane method to spend the $$ and at the same time prevent the issue from returning to the level that requires such drastic measures?
