Norway has the best crib to grave system in the world. And also one of the very highest rates of suicide. Maybe because it's dark a lot.
But you didn't say which one. Norway, denmark, sweden, or finland.

Actually not Norway, but Iraq has the highest rate of suicide at the moment. For different and nastier reasons, I admit.
I am from Denmark, where people don't commit suicide quite as often as they enjoy themselves to death.

Denmark currency did not join the euro either did it ?

So much for kumbaya --- Scandanavia's socialism works very well because the society is very homogeneous and have near zero birth rates. Socialism is showing itself to be a failed experiment in the majority of the EU that is forced to deal with diversity and growing populations. France and Germany have staved off the inevitable by working together like 2 bankrupt companies joining forces -- together they can prop each other up, but only for so long. The EU has opened up borders among neighbor nations to assist with their major labor crisis. However, this will only work for so long before the problems of individual nations will prove unwieldy for the nations together. Especially with China now on the world stage, the EU will be unable to sustain both their welfare states with 35 hour work weeks and free, well everything, and also be a prominent world economic power.

"Free, well everything" in Europe???? What are you talking about??? Have you ever lived there? Minumum tax in DK is 54% which is why i.e. basic heathcare is (and should be) free.

I do agree though. Socialism doesn't work. But wait another 20 years and people have had enough of the G.W.B.'s of this world, and the focus will be on quality of life rather than who you can invade to show that you're a tough guy. That's when the Scandinavian model will prove its brilliance.

Do you remember the "riots" of France . Sure you do , you saw lots of it and even had some of it compared to iraq. They know how to burn cars don't they ???

So the point is; for the previous 10 months before the "riots" they averaged 650 cars a weekend. Take that times 10 months times 4 weekends a month times 650 and that's how many cars were already burned before the "riots" riotous laughter...
