Branch Mouth, where the Macal, the Mopan, and the Belize River come together
THIS IS THE PLACE CALLED BRANCH MOUTH. - - Why? Because these waters you see are where three rivers meet.
These rivers are; the MACAL, the MOPAN, the BELIZE, OLD RIVER.
Across this river is a picnic ground and also an Iguana Sanctuary.
San Ignacio Town is a little more than ONE MILE away from this place.
This SPOT you see on this river served FOUR CIVILIZATIONS.
The MAYA,-The SPANIARDS -The BRITISH and now BELIZEANS.
