General Situation:

Belize NMS: Present Condition: Partly cloudy. Mainly fair weather will prevail today with a temporary increase in moisture tonight. Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Mostly sunny today and cloudy at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, except for slightly more over the mountains this afternoon, then south and some coastal areas tonight and early tomorrow morning.

The Caribbean Sea

Two tropical waves are over the basin. Scattered moderate convection prevails over the Windward Islands in advance of the next tropical wave. Scatterometer data depicts moderate to fresh trades across the basin, with highest winds over the south central Caribbean.

High pressure north of the area will maintain fresh to strong trade winds in the south-central Caribbean into the weekend, pulsing to near gale force along the coast of Colombia and over the Gulf of Venezuela during the nights. Strong winds will develop south of Hispaniola beginning on Thu as high pressure strengthens. A tropical wave will cross the Windward Islands late Wed night and move over the eastern Caribbean on Thu, with fresh to strong winds east of the wave axis.

OP Marty	Presently we are in good weather, easterly Caribbean cloud building this morning, no rain around. But there are swellups to the west of us and to the east of us and there could be a swellup develop over our mountains this afternoon. Looks like a sunny day today, with white clouds building, little or no rain expected, could be some In Toledo and or mountains later. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 75°F Yesterday max. 34°C 93°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm (0.0" )
