General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Clear Skies. Fair weather prevails. Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Sunny with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers will be isolated, affecting mostly the toledo district tonight.

Outlook: On Tuesday and Tuesday night isolated showers will develop around the country.
Tropical Weather Outlook: At 3:00am Tropical Storm Dorian was centered near 11.9N, 56.4W or about 225mls ESE of Barbados. TS Dorian was moving westward at 14mph with maximum sustained winds of 60mph. An area of low pressure centered SSW of North Carolina maintains a high chance of becoming a tropical/subtropical depression during the next couple of days. Click for more...

The Caribbean Sea

A tropical wave is moving across the basin. Fair weather prevails across the basin as a dry Saharan airmass covers the area. Scatterometer data depicts moderate trades across the basin, with fresh winds over the central Caribbean and the Gulf of Honduras.

Fresh to locally strong trades over the south-central Caribbean will gradually increase in areal coverage through Mon. Fresh to strong east to southeast winds will pulse over the Gulf of Honduras at night Mon through Wed. Refer to the section above for details on T.S. Dorian, which is expected to enter the eastern Caribbean on Tue.

OP Marty	The Lesser Antilles are being put on alert for impacts from Tropical Storm Dorian ranging from strong winds and rough surf to localized flooding early this week. Tropical Storm Dorian's outer bands now less than 75 miles East of Barbados However, the centre is still about 250 miles east-southeast of the island. An area of disturbed weather that AccuWeather meteorologists were monitoring since last week became Tropical Depression Five on Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, it strengthened into Tropical Storm Dorian. Dorian is the fourth named tropical system of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season. Topical storm watches and warnings have been issued for some of the islands of the Lesser Antilles in anticipation of Dorian's arrival. "The center of Dorian is expected to pass close to Barbados Monday night or early Tuesday morning before the system crosses the Lesser Antilles and heads into the eastern Caribbean," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said. After passing through the Lesser Antilles, Dorian will reach the open waters of the eastern Caribbean. "Dorian is expected to make a bit more of a northward turn and head in the direction of Puerto Rico and Hispaniola around midweek," Pydynowski said. OP Marty	Weekly Outlook Aug 26- Sep 2, 2019 Drought conditions will persist during this week across Belize. Dorian's WNW track over the extreme NE Caribbean during the next 48-72 hours will not dramatically influence the weather over Belize. It will induce a N to NE'ly over the NW Caribbean as it moves north of eastern Cuba, which could generate some refreshing coastal showers in Belize. A weak tropical wave reaching the NW Caribbean late Tuesday will produce a few showery outbreaks, especially over central and northern areas of the country. Otherwise, the dry weather conditions will persist this week. Alerts: Only the high, daytime temperatures. Warnings: Heat stress. Ramon Frutos

OP Marty	Generally stable weather around us at present, cloud developing over land, but no sign of rain. That cloud are in the Atlantic is approaching the West Indies, and is now classified as TS DORIAN and could develop into a hurricane storm in a few days time, but it unlikely to effect us. Looks like another hot dry day, with signifi8cant morning clouds, clearing this afternoon. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 76°F Yesterday max. 34°C 92°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm (0.0" )
