Mooring Buoys
Funds obtained from private donors, the Coral Alliance and PADI's Project AWARE allowed Green Reef to install permanently anchor buoys so that the boat users need not drop anchor on the reef.

The generous work from local dive shops allowed Green Reef to install these buoys on Earth Day of this year. These buoys were replacing ones that Green Reef had installed several years ago but with two major hurricanes hitting the area in the past three years it was necessary to replace lost buoys.

In this way Green Reef is helping to protect the reef from further damage so that it can continue being a habitat that may be observed and utilized by many.
