BELIZE FISHING REPORT

AUGUST 11, 2019 THROUGH AUGUST 18, 2019

Weather Conditions: Light winds most of the week, very windy at the end of the week.

Winds: East, 5-30 mph.

Air Temperature: High and low in the low 80's.

Sunrise: 5:35 am Sunset: 6:14 pm

Moonphase: Waning Gibbous.

WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:

BONEFISH (Macabi): Bonefish action was good even on windy days. Anglers have done well landing larger than average Bones.

PERMIT (Palometta): Permit were picky this week.

TARPON (Sabalo): Several nice Tarpon were landed on the flats and around the Mangroves.

OTHER SPECIES: Snook, Snapper, Jacks and Barracuda.

FLIES THAT WORKED

FOR BONEFISH - Christmas Island Specials in orange, pearl and pink sizes 6 & 8.

FOR PERMIT - Spawning Shrimp, Tan Crabs in size 6 & 8.

FOR TARPON - White or Chartreuse Tarpon Toads.

This Week's Summary:

Good weather and wind conditions for most of the week provided plenty of action on all of the areas that El Pescador guides fish. On the windy days; anglers still managed to land some nice fish in protected areas.
