BELIZE FISHING REPORT

FEBRUARY 7, 2021 THROUGH FEBRUARY 14, 2021

Weather Conditions: Sunny skies with fresh winds from East/South East.

Winds: East and South East at 15-25 mph.

Air Temperature: Mid 70's.

Sunrise: 6:20 am Sunset: 5:52 pm

Moonphase: Full Moon.

WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:

BONEFISH (Macabi): Very good numbers of bones were caught with several fish in the 5lb. class. Joel M & Mike B accounted for 35 Bones in one day!

PERMIT (Palometta): Four Permit landed this week.

TARPON (Sabalo): One Tarpon was landed.

OTHER SPECIES: A good number of Jacks were taken, some in the 15-20 Lbs class. Heather J took a very good Barracuda of 30 Lbs.

GRAND SLAM: No Grand Slams were recorded.

FLIES THAT WORKED

FOR BONEFISH - Christmas Island Specials in gold, pearl and pink sizes 4 & 6, and Crazy Charlies in pink and orange.

FOR PERMIT - Mantis Shrimp and Strong Arm Crab.

FOR TARPON - White Toad.

Week in Review:

Fishing was good this week with the focus on Bonefish as we hosted the Orvis Bonefish Bonanza. The group caught excellent numbers of Bones, with the Permit being a bit tougher.
